ELIZABETH OLSEN

This Manhattan transplant is the furthest thing from a typical industry blonde. For one—she wouldn't be caught dead in fur or leather. She's peddling a whole new form of southern charm: vegan shoes. If every bit of gorgeous truth came packaged in an Olsenhaus shoe-box, we'd all be walking taller. Four inches taller, in some cases.

From her work experience in Malaysia, Italy, South American and Asia—to her African safari, the gal has some perspective. MINT, and many others. On the West Coast, she's worn the shoes of a print and ad-campaign stylist, and commercial and film stylist. Clients included Nike, Nike Goddess, Nissan, Universal Studios, IBM, and Corbis to name a few. Elizabeth attended the University of Florida studying Art and Art History, and then FIT for Accessories design in NYC.

For over twenty years, Elizabeth has been an outspoken advocate against the use of animals for food, clothing, experimentation, and entertainment, as well as for the environment and social justice. She has been a vegetarian for 19 years and a vegan for the last 2 years.

Her creative concepts stem from a passionate pursuit of consciousness, purpose, function, color, art, design, and ethics. Olsenhaus is the fruit of Elizabeth's journey thus far—and by the size of her star-studded black book, this cruelty-free woman is here to stay.

The name pays homage to Elizabeth’s Nordic heritage by combining her last name Olsen with ” haus” the German word for house.

She is deeply committed to the shift in consciousness to awareness of the truth, for the freedom of the animal kingdom, and thus the evolution of humankind.

Currently, Elizabeth divides her time between New York, Florida and traveling for Olsenhaus. Future plans include expansion of Olsenhaus, the further study of metaphysics, theosophy, yoga, and building a completely environmentally friendly home and family.
